โ€˜NO Vote, No Voiceโ€™ was the theme of a recent conference held in Limerick City on the importance of engaging in democracy.

The conference was hosted by Fine Gael senator Maria Byrne and Segun Oriowo, chair of Fine Gaelโ€™s Limerick City branch.

The conference stressed the importance of engagement in democracy at a local level in a move to build momentum on the run up to June 7โ€™s local elections.

Encouraging everyone in Limerick to register to vote this June, Senator Byrne said that โ€œour democracy thrives when every voice is heard, and every vote counts.โ€
