Sinn Féin election candidate calls for improved shared spaces on busy Limerick road

SINN Féin local election candidate for Limerick City East, Ursula Gavan, has called on Limerick City and County Council to improve shared spaces on the R445 from Daly’s Cross to the Mackey Roundabout.

Declaring that the busy stretch of road can “often be dangerous”, Ms Gavan called on the council to include the R445 in Active Plans with a view to a cycle lane being installed.

“It would be a great starting point with linking Castleconnell into the great Annacotty/Castletroy areas which already have a fantastic Active Travel scheme in place,” she said.
