CASTLECONNELL Boat Club was well represented at the Ghent International Regatta in Belgium.
Around 40 athletes from the club participated, with dozens of others traveling in support of many competing for the first-time at International level.
Medals were secured by several members of the club, which led to Castleconnell BC being named the Best Overall Junior Club, a prestigious award (the City of Ghent trophy) that was accepted by Joe O’Toole.
Conditions were described as challenging, with a changing crosswind throughout the competition.
