A NUMBER of special schools in Limerick will benefit from the allocation of new funding aimed at improving educational resources for students with significant needs.

Thatโ€™s according to Limerick OPW Minister Kieran Oโ€™Donnell who confirmed that St Gabrielโ€™s School, Catherine McAuley School, Red Hill School, and Limerick Community Special School are to be appointed a new deputy principal from the new school year on foot of the government funding allocation.

The four schools, as well as St Vincentโ€™s in Lisnagry, will also benefit from an increased allocation of teaching hours from September.
