GARDAÍ have issued a warning to people using ATM machines to take out cash after a woman in Limerick had her money stolen.
On Monday, May 16, a 20-year-old woman was taking cash out of an ATM on O’Connell Street in Limerick City at 9.30pm.
While she was waiting for her cash to pop out, a woman jumped in front of her swiped the cash and ran off with it.
Gardaí are investigating, but Sergeant Ber Leetch has advised people to take out cash in a shop or garage instead and to make sure to secure cash before leaving the ATM.
