SPORTING organisations across Limerick have been invited to apply to a €120million fund intended to bolster major sports infrastructure nationwide.
The Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF) is open for applications until July 1.
Funding applications are to be awarded between €600,000 and €30m, with previous beneficiaries of the fund including the state-of-the-art Regional Athletics Hub opened last year in Newcastle West.
A new requirement in this year’s application has been outlined for ensuring equal access for women and men in sporting facilities funded by the LSSIF.
