GARDAĆ in Limerick are appealing to dog owners to keep them at home or under control when they are out.
This follows a number of recent reports of dogs attacking humans and other animals.
A report was filed with Limerick GardaĆ of dogs attacking and frightening a foal on the Ballysimon Road on Thursday, 13 June.
Two days later, on Saturday 15 June, GardaĆ heard that dogs entered a farmyard in Newcastle West and frightened calves.
GardaĆ say “keep your dogs within your property and, if they are out, make sure that they are under your control.
“If your dog is on the restricted breeds list, follow the directions regarding muzzle wearing and leads”.
