LIMERICK run-up against Fermanagh in the semi-final of the All-Ireland Junior Ladies Football Championship at Pearse Park, Longford, on Sunday next (2pm).
Under the joint management of Mike Quilligan and Seรกn Kiely, Limerick have a fine side, one that includes joint captains Rรณisรญn Ambrose (Old Mill) and Yvonne Lee (Monagea), along with Oolaโs Fiona Bradshaw, Cathy Mee of Ballylanders, Kate Kennedy (St. Ailbeโs), Deborah Murphy (Monagea), and Caoimhe McGrath, Fr. Caseyโs.
The other semi-final involves Carlow and Louth.
Elsewhere in club football action, holders Newcastle West preserved their unbeaten run in the Limerick Senior Football Championship with an easy Group Two win, 0-14 to 0-3, over Kildimo-Pallaskenry at Seรกn Finn Park, Rathkeale.
Eoin Hurly, Diarmuid Kelly, Thomas Quilligan, and Bryan Nix were among those to collect neat points for The Magpies.
Unfortunately, the hugely talented Iain Corbett picked up a serious injury in the fixture and is likely to be out of action for some time.
Elsewhere in Group One, newcomers Mungret St Paulโs stunned Adare, 1-9 to 1-5, in Askeaton. Talented centre-forward John Hutton hit 1-2 for Kevin OโHaganโs side.
