A HIGH-ACHIEVING young Limerick boy will be punching more than the fair after being selected to represent Ireland in the EUBC Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Boxing Championships.
12-year-old Noel Martin will take part in the championships running from August 1 to 11.
Noel boxes with the West End Boxing Club in Galvone, and, despite his young age, has already been crowned Irish champion three times.
“He is a fantastic young kid, trains hard, and is a credit to have in our club,” a West End representative said, adding that his taking place in the European championships is “an amazing achievement for Noel”.
