A NEW undergraduate course in occupational therapy is to be launched at the University of Limerick (UL) under plans announced this week by Government.
Higher Education Minister Patrick OโDonovan this week announced the expansion of a nationwide programme to extend training places across key therapy disciplines.
The expansion includes the launch of new courses nationwide across the areas of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy.
Along with the new course at UL, programmes will be introduced at the University of Galway and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, with a view to a 35 per cent expansion in places for therapy disciplines by 2026.
