A NEW postbox has been installed in a County Limerick village after the local Post Office closed down.

The new postbox was placed in the village of Kildimo following the closure, after a recent survey by the Kildimo Community Council showed that the provision of a postbox service was a top priority.

Representations were made to An Post by local Minister of State Niall Collins and councillor Ger Ward on behalf of the local community to have a postbox placed in the village.

The new postbox has been installed at Mulcair’s Mace Shop and will have collections at 4pm every weekday.
