Silver medal win for Rathkeale Tag Rugby

RATHKEALE finished commendable runners-up in Under-16 Tag Rugby at the National Community Games Finals in Carlow.

The Limerick and Munster champions overcame Cavan of Ulster in the semi-final before narrowly losing to Dublin in the final.

Tag Rugby is popular in Rathkeale with the club fielding two teams at both Under-11 and Under-14 age grade.

The silver medal-winning side is coached by Derek Johnson, Bernie Johnson, and Kieran O’Connell.
