BRDIGE repairs were called for on Ballynoe, Gardenfield, and Mountplummer bridges in West Limerick.

In response to Independent councillor Jerome Scanlan’s request at this month’s Newcastle West area meeting, the Council said that Gardenfield bridge will be identified and forwarded for consideration under the bridge rehabilitation programme.

Emergency work, Cllr Scanlan was informed, will be carried out and completed by the end of October.

The Council also said that Ballynoe bridge has had a visual inspection carried out and it is deemed there is no requirement for emergency works in 2024.
