Limerick hockey player joins Indian team Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers

LIMERICK’S Róisín Upton, Catholic Institute, and her international colleague Katie Mullan have joined Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers ahead of the inaugural Women’s Hockey India League.

Each player joined for a fee of around €12,000.

Olympica Upton, aged 30, was a key member of the Ireland Team at the 2018 World Cup.

The four-team women’s league will begin in December.
