FIANNA Fรกil councillor Catherine Slattery has urged Limerick City and County Council (LCCC) to engage with the Northstar Family Support Project to provide them a permanent premises for their vital services.
Speaking at a recent Metropolitan area meeting, Cllr Slattery said, “This is a long-established and well-trusted community-based service working with families in Limerickย affected by substance misuse.
“Unfortunately, addiction is so common, and every family has a member that has an addiction of some sort. That is why I’m calling on the Council to support my motion to get them a permanent home.”
The Council said it will arrange to engage with the project in order to evaluate their needs and how it might be in a position to help.
