SOCIAL Democrats councillor Shane Hickey-O’Mara has asked Limerick City and County Council if the Active Travel department intends to install a bike lane on the Condell Road between the Coonagh and Clonmacken roundabouts to provide safe access for cyclists.
Sean McGlynn of the Council’s Transportation and Mobility Directorate explained that the Active Travel team has no current proposals for a cycle infrastructure link between the Coonagh and Clonmacken roundabout.
“However, Active Travel will review with the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of future funding,” he said.
