LIMERICK City and County Council has compiled a cost estimate of €35,000 for the replacement and improvements to existing road markings, signage and anti-skid surfacing at the Cross of Five Roads junction in Murroe.
In response to a question from Fianna Fáil councillor Martin Ryan, councillors were told at a recent Cappamore-Kilmallock area meeting that a submission will be made to the Department of Transport for their consideration.
The Council also said that it intends to explore the possibility of securing a Specific Improvement Grant from the Department for more advanced works.
