AS EVER, there is plenty of local interest in the latest edition of A Season of Sundays, the definitive visual record of the GAA year as captured by the award-winning photographers of Sportsfile.

The 28th edition was launched by Association President Jarlath Burns at Croke Park.

Burns is featured embracing his son Jarly ร“g following Armaghโ€™s All-Ireland Senior Football Final win over Galway.

โ€œA GAA calendar year would not be complete without the publication of another offering of the eagerly awaited pictorial journey that is A Season of Sundaysย and I am glad to acknowledge this latest instalment,โ€ Burns said.

โ€œThe breadth and quality of the imagery captured is – as ever – of the highest standard and bookends another incredible year in the life of the Association.

โ€œI look forward to studying the book in the embers of the year before it all starts again.โ€

Sportsfile owner Ray McManus said: โ€œAs the GAA season fades, A Season of Sundays captures the yearโ€™s most unforgettable moments and gives fans the chance to relive the excitement. Even in our digital age, a single image can speak a thousand words, and A Season of Sundays proves that photography still holds the power to move us.โ€

Thereโ€™s one truly beautiful picture within of Limerickโ€™s Ellie Woulfe in a warm embrace with her beloved Lexi following the League Final loss to Carlow back in April at St Brendanโ€™s Park, Birr.

The publication was made possible by the support of Forvis Mazars, the nationwide accounting, tax and consulting firm which has a presence in Limerick on Henry Street.
