MUNGRET ST PAUL’S are through to an historic All-Ireland Junior Club Final.

At the weekend, John Horgan’s fine team won in a shoot-out away to Coolera Strandhill (Sligo).

After the sides had tied following extra time, ice-cool trio Gráinne McKenna, Carol Bateman, and Fiona Morrissey found the range to send the Limerick and Munster kingpins into a national showdown against Donegal’s Na Dúnaigh on Sunday week.

The final has been confirmed for Parnell Park, Dublin on December 15 with a 2pm start.

Elsewhere, John O’Keeffe knocked over a magnificent nine points (including the late winner) as Murroe-Boher edged out Ahane, 1-17 to 0-19, in a cracking County Under-20 A Hurling Championship Final at University of Limerick.

A contribution of 1-2 from the lively Tommie Cusack was also important to a side captained from full-back by Liam Quaid and managed by the astute Pat Tobin, part of the Limerick team which contested the 2007 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final.
