YOUNG Munster suffered a cruel 16-15 defeat at City of Armagh in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League, an outcome which puts The Cookies under pressure for promotion play-off qualification.

It was a late, late penalty success which gave the home side the win at the Palace Grounds.

Hubert Gilvarry and Ihechi Oji scored tries for Munsters’, while Julian Leszczynski added a conversion and a penalty.

Elsewhere, relegation-threatened Garryowen suffered a heavy 35-9 home defeat to Terenure College. Jack Oliver kicked three penalties for the Light Blues.

There is no AIL action this weekend.
