Limerick student wins first place at Tusla poster competition

ONE creative young Limerick pupil was the poster boy for artistic success after taking home the top prize in a regional art competition.

Young Dara Kennedy, a fourth class pupil at Doon CBS Primary School, was awarded first place at the Mid West Tusla TESS School Attendance Poster Competition.

The nationwide competition aims to raise awareness of the importance of attendance and engagement with school classes.

Dara, pictured above with his father Jim and Maryanne Lowney of Tusla, took home a โ‚ฌ150 art hamper as the top winner, along with โ‚ฌ200 for his school.
