Dave Hause returns to the stage

Dave Hause is a Philadelphia-born singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt blend of punk rock and Americana.

Starting out in the early 2000s with punk band The Loved Ones, he later launched a solo career with his 2011 debut album, Resolutions. Over the years, he has gained a dedicated fan base with albums like Devour, Kick, and Blood Harmony.

Hause returns to Ireland and UK with an acoustic tour, continuing the momentum from his 2023 release, Drive It Like It’s Stolen, and a reimagining of tracks from his former band The Loved Ones, spanning their albums Versus, Nurses, and Hearses.

Hause’s music has always been grounded in gritty, real-life narratives. Since his debut album, Resolutions (2011), he has consistently poured his life into his songs. Drive It Like It’s Stolen, his sixth album, is no exception, blending emotional urgency with the realities of modern life.

His lyrics have often explored personal traumas set against the challenges of society—from 2013’s Devour, which wrestled with his first divorce, to 2019’s Kick, tackling hope, climate crisis, and political decay amidst impending fatherhood.

More recently, his 2021 album Blood Harmony reflects the joys of fatherhood and the silver linings found during pandemic isolation.

As he returns to the stage, fans can expect the raw intensity and depth that have defined Hause’s career, interwoven with reflections on family, resilience, and the pursuit of meaning in challenging times.

Dave Hause will play Dolans on Thursday February 20.
