O’Dwyer represents Ireland at Winter Games

LIMERICK has representation at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.

It is courtesy of Frank O’Dwyer of Ballylanders, a member of the Ireland Floorball Team.

The 30-year-old has been active with Tipperary Special Olympics Club, Munster, for 12 years.

In that time, he’s won 10 medals representing both Team Munster and Team Ireland, across a dizzying array of sports including basketball, swimming, athletics, football, and floorball.

His word of advice to fellow athletes is “be a good team leader, support each other and respect your coaches and volunteers because without them we wouldn’t be here.”

O’Dwyer is a passionate supporter of Limerick’s hurling team, Munster Rugby, and Manchester United.
