LIMERICK City and County Council has announced the week-long closure of Michael Street in Limerick City in April.
The closure is to facilitate the dismantling of a tower crane at the Project Opera site in the city.
According to a statement from the Council, Michael Street will be closed from Monday April 7 to Monday April 14.
Diversions will be in place from Ellen Street to Patrick Street, Arthur’s Quay, Rutland Street, Broad Street, Charotte’s Quay, and Rutland Street.

Diversions will be clearly signposted and local access will be accommodated, the Council statement explained.
