LIMERICK IN PHOTOS: All-Ireland success for Coláiste Chiarain

Pupils from Coláiste Chiarain Croom took home the gold from the Briery Gap Light Entertainment Music competition at the Cork Opera House.

THERE was All-Ireland success for Coláiste Chiarain, Croom, who won the Briery Gap Light Entertainment Music competition, held in the Cork Opera House.

20 students, across all ages and year groups, from the cast of the school’s hit musical, Our House, were chosen to represent the school at the national showcase.

These students worked tirelessly with teachers Ms Moroney and Ms Rowan on retelling the story of Casey Street.

Success for the students did not stop there; pupil Harry Moriarty also claimed the award for Outstanding Individual Performance.

Principal Gerard O’Sullivan remarked: “We are incredibly proud of our victory at the All-Ireland Light Entertainment competition. Not only does it highlight our commitment to participation and excellence in the arts, it also is richly deserved for the students and teachers who give so much of their time and energy in representing our school.”
