Markets Field hosts Munster Derby

IT’S Munster Derby time at the Markets Field as Treaty United host neighbours Kerry FC in the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division this Friday, 7.45pm.

Home manager Tommy Barrett will be hoping to reverse his side’s fortunes after last weekend’s disappointing performance at Longford Town (2-0).

The visitors also tasted defeat last weekend when they went down 1-0 at home to UCD in Mounthawk.

The league’s youngest clubs come head-to-head for a tenth time on Friday evening with Treaty winning four of the games to date and Kerry claiming two victories, while there have been three drawn matches.

There will be a lot of familiar faces meeting up in Garryowen.

Treaty United’s Valerii Dolia, Trpimir Vrljičak and Steven Healy (loan) have all previously played for Kerry FC. Kerry’s assistant manager Chris Collopy has been involved with Treaty United in the past, while Darragh Foley has lined out at academy level for the club.
