REDUCING energy prices throughout Europe and investing in energy infrastructure will determine whether the European Parliamentโs current mandate will be a success or a failure, according to Independent MEP for Ireland South Michael McNamara.
Addressing the European Parliamentโs plenary session in Strasbourg, McNamara called for the European Parliament and the European Commission to act on reducing energy prices, to invest in grid infrastructure, and to harness innovative solutions to bring energy affordability to citizens.
โThe success or failure of this Parliament and the European Commission will be judged on whether or not we bring down energy prices in Europe,โ McNamara stated.
