ANOTHER ABANDONED horse was seized outside Limerick City earlier this month.
A statement released by Limerick City and County Council confirmed that a four-year-old brown and white female horse was seized by the local authority on Thursday April 3 in the Castletroy area.
According to the Council statement, the owner or keeper of the abandoned horse is not known.
Abandoned horses seized by the local authority are held for five days and, if not claimed by their owner or keeper, are re-homed to shelters outside of Limerick in accordance with the 1996 Control of Horses Act.
