Independent Travel Support Scheme extended to Limerick

The expansion was announced by Bus Éireann and the National Transport Authority.

THE Independent Travel Support Scheme (ITS) has officially been extended to Limerick.

The expansion was announced by Bus Éireann and the National Transport Authority, and will allow for supports for people aged 18 and over with additional needs until they are confident using the public transport system alone.

The programme sees ITS assistants assigned to passengers to accompany them on public transport to help them learn to travel independently.

The service is free of charge weekdays from 9am to 5pm, with more information on [email protected] or by calling 0818 294 015.
