Strong lineup for alt-country, alt-folk, alt-rock outfit Redwood this weekend

LIMERICK band Redwood  will play their first Dolans headliner on Saturday May 3.

Fresh from their triumphant debut performance at Record Room, Redwood are set to return for a debut show at Dolans this weekend.

Formed less than a year ago, Redwood are a genre-blending outfit drawing on alt-country, alt-folk and alt-rock influences. The band comprises well known Limerick musicians, Damien Drea (aka dREA), Graeme Dalton, Sandra Drea and Andrew Mooney .

Over the past year, Redwood have been crafting a distinctive sound shaped by a wide range of musical influences, from Nick Cave, Arcade Fire and Bob Dylan to The Velvet Underground, Glen Campbell and Ryan Adams.

Redwood will take to the stage Upstairs at Dolans on Saturday May 3 joined by special guests Parliament Square and Triona Horan. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are priced at €15. Followed by After Show Party on Dolans Terrace.

LIMERICK singer/songwriter dREA (Damien Drea) has released a beautiful and plaintive new single called ‘The Night Sky’. The track is a reflective, melodic song that delves into the theme of tragic loss. The song is a tribute to friend and former Vesta Varro guitarist Peter Forde. The song is streaming on Spotify.
