LIMERICK author Karen Fitzgibbon will launch her second novel, Never Look Back, at O’Mahony’s Bookshop this Thursday May 8 at 6.30pm.
Following the success of her debut thriller The World’s End, Fitzgibbon returns with the second instalment in the Lana Bowen series, featuring the determined private investigator.
Never Look Back begins with a chilling mystery: a young mother, Clara, vanishes from Colbert train station, leaving behind a baby her own mother only just discovered existed. Clara’s brother turns to PI Lana Bowen for help, and their search leads them across to London and back to Ireland, where they uncover a tangled web of secrets, deception, and danger.
Described by critics as “taut, mysterious, emotional” and “a fast-paced tale of dark secrets and family intrigue”, the novel promises to grip readers from the opening pages.
Karen Fitzgibbon, also a filmmaker and theatre practitioner, lives in Limerick with her family and their springer spaniel, Major. In 2024, she signed a three-book deal with Irish publisher Poolbeg.
