COMMUNITY groups across Limerick city and county have been urged to apply for the 2025 Rethink Ireland and Vodafone Foundation digital literacy fund aimed at helping older people learn digital skills.
The โฌ540,000 fund is designed to help bridge the digital divide for older adults in Ireland, nominating five organisations to help provide services for older adults aged 65 and above to develop essential digital skills.
According to 2021 CSO statistics, almost half (46 per cent) of people over the age of 75 in Ireland have never used the internet.
Applications for the fund can be made up to May 26 on rethinkireland.ie/current_fund/hidigitalfund.
