OVER 170 excited Limerick students are set to perform in Disneyland Paris.
Children from The Fame Factory stage school in Raheen received the good news after two months of blood, sweat, tears, and Disney audition routines, that they will be Paris bound for a magical performance in February next year.
According to Fame Factory school teacher and owner, Laura McLoughlin, the group is the single largest group to successfully audition and be accepted at Disneyland Paris, with the largest before them consisting of a group of 70.
Laura said the magical opportunity came about “back in December when an agent from Dublin got in touch with us online after seeing our content and work and videos/clips/images of shows that we work on every year that were posted on our social media”.
“We decided to put the idea out to our members’ parents, and they were so excited, a huge number of our members got behind it.”
She said the group rehearsed for their auditions for almost two months.
Over 650 parents and children will now travel to Disneyland Paris next February in what Laura describes as “a dream come true”.
The children will share the stage with other schools from around the world range in age from seven to 18 years old.
“As the kids teacher I couldn’t be prouder of them, ย the hard work and dedication really paid off. ย We have the most amazing and hard working student who commit and work hard to achieve their goals,” Laura said proudly.
