LOCAL entrepreneurs and business owners took part in an exclusive event focusing on export and market development.
The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) invited SMEs and microexporter entrepreneurs across Limerick to the event at the Engine Hub in the city.
Guest panellists gave a clear pathway of information, connections, and resources needed to execute a successful export strategy.
Patrick McMahon from Enterprise Ireland, Ann Dooley from Enterprise Europe Network, and Denise Mahon from Intertrade Ireland led discussions.
A nod to the Local Enterprise Office in Limerick was also made by each of the speakers, and the support they have received from the office.
Mike Cantwell, head of enterprise at LEO Limerick, said the event is also an opportunity for LEO to share changes to the products available to local businesses which can help companies strengthen their digital presence, aid energy efficiency, and support exports.
“There’s a range of different support changes that are happening for LEO Limerick. But we also want to encourage businesses to consider export as an option to grow their business going forward”, he said.
An added benefit to the event was the opportunity for attendees to network among the Limerick entrepreneurial and business community, giving the chance to share ideas and discuss issues and initiatives in local enterprise.
