Limerick Sings will be a joyous celebration of voice, community and culture

M’ANAM perform at University Concert Hall on Friday June 6.

Limerick comes alive in harmony as the Limerick Sings Choral Festival makes its highly anticipated return this summer with a vibrant line-up of concerts, workshops and memorable musical moments, welcoming choirs from across Ireland and further afield.

From May 29 to June 8, this vibrant festival transforms the city and surrounding region into a stage for choral excellence. The festival launches on Thursday May 29 at 7pm at the University Concert Hall with an uplifting performance by local and regional youth choirs. Under the direction of the acclaimed Máire Keary-Scanlon, each choir will perform individually before joining forces in a powerful massed finale.

On Friday June 6, the spotlight falls on the renowned vocal ensemble M’ANAM, who will take to the stage at 7.30pm with a unique performance blending ancient Irish and Nordic musical traditions. Earlier that afternoon, at 4.30pm, M’ANAM will host a special workshop open to singers of all levels, focusing on their distinctive vocal style, with an emphasis on breath, storytelling and ensemble connection.

Early birds on Saturday June 7 can enjoy the Outdoor Chorus, a one-of-a-kind choral workshop and performance at the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, led by celebrated conductor Bob Chilcott.
