EXPLAINING big ideas in three minutes is not easy, but it landed one Limerick man with an award.

Patrick Cronin of University of Limerick’s spin-out Oscil was presented at the Big Idea’s Award at Enterprise Ireland’s 2025 Start-Up Day.

Oscil was one of six investor-ready potential spin-outs that had three minutes to pitch their technology solutions to an audience of industry professionals.

Patrick was awarded outstanding pitch of the day for his project geared towards the pharmaceutical and dairy sectors.

His work involves the development of a sensor and AI-solution that enables real-time analysis of powder flow, addressing issues like sensor fouling, yield loss, and process downtime.

Oscil will travel to the US to participate in UC Berkeley’s Venture Connectivity Program.
