SOCIAL Democrats councillor Shane Hickey-O’Mara has followed up with Limerick City and County Council on a motion he brought forward, and was passed, at a Metropolitan District meeting last October.
Cllr Hickey-O’Mara sought an update on the setting up of an online directory of Limerick-based artists.
The City North representative was informed that the Council’s Arts Office applied for additional funding to develop and maintain a Limerick artist network website but was unsuccessful.
“Other funding opportunities will continue to be sought.

In the interim, the Arts Office continues to investigate alternative mechanisms for the creation of such a directory,” the Council said.
