Over €4m allocated for Housing Adaptation Grants across Limerick

Limerick TD Niall Collins.

LIMERICK has been allocated €4,390,272 for Housing Adaptation Grants across 2025.

The sum, granted to Limerick City and County Council by the government, is a marked increase on the €3,197,342 granted to the local authority in 2024.

Housing Adaptation Grants are available for the improvements of older people’s homes so that they can live in their own houses for as long as possible.

They can also be used for alterations to a home to make it more suitable for people with physical, sensory, intellectual, or mental health difficulties.
