AONTÚ councillor Sarah Beasley has asked Limerick City and County Council about plans to increase the number of bins along Plassey walkway on the riverbank.

The City North representative was informed at the April Metropolitan District meeting of the Council that the Cleansing Section cannot service bins along the walkway due to access restrictions for collecting vehicles.

“Consideration will be given to the provision of bins where the walkway intersects or runs adjacent to public roads, subject to a suitable location being identified and subject to available resources,” the Council explained.
