Power of local radio continues to soar with top listenership figures

THE POWER of local radio continues in Limerick as over 50 per cent of Shannonsiders tune in to Live 95 every week.

That’s 96,000 thousands listeners across the county, or 80 per cent of Limerick adults. These are the latest figures revealed in the official JNLR radio listenership tally, covering the 12 months to the end of March 2025.

Live 95 station director Joe Nash said that “radio is such a powerful medium and its connection with Limerick people is clearly shown by these latest official listenership figures, with a massive 80 per cent of Limerick adults tuning into a radio station every day.”
