COLÁISTE Mhuire is celebrating having been awarded the 2024/2025 Pieta Amber Flag.
The Amber Flag coordinator at the school, Ms O’Driscoll, and her Amber Flag committee, were congratulated for their commitment to promoting positive mental health, fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff and students.
Throughout the year, a wide range of wellbeing initiatives, activities, events, fundraising efforts, and administrative work were undertaken in pursuit of the award at the Askeaton school.
By participating in the Amber Flag initiative, the school faculty and students aim to continue raising awareness of the stigmas that exist around mental health and the various stressors impacting our collective mental and emotional wellbeing.
