INDEPENDENT councillor Jerome Scanlan has questioned Limerick City and County Council on when overhanging trees will be cut back at Woodfield Park in Newcastle West.
Cllr Scanlan was informed at the May area meeting of the Council that trees can only be cut back between September 1 and March 1.
The local authority said it will arrange an inspection of the trees and will assess the situation in accordance with the Tree Management Policy.
