Limerick ladies reign supreme in Munster

QUALITY late points from player-of-the-match Róisín (Old Mill) Ambrose and Rebecca Delee (Feohangh/Castlemahon) earned Limerick a thrilling 4-7 to 4-5 win against Clare in the Munster ‘B’ Final in Mallow.

Despite a good goal from Caoimhe McNamara, Limerick trailed 3-1 to 1-3 at the turnaround.

Closing-half goals from Cathy Mee and Ambrose set-up a grand stand finish, in which Limerick performed well in the retention of the title.

Scorers: Mee (Ballylanders) 2-1, Ambrose 1-2, McNamara (Knockainey) 1-0, Delee 0-2, Caoimhe McGrath (Fr. Casey’s) 0-1, Meadbh McNamara (St. Ailbe’s) 0-1.
