
OVER €1.2million has been awarded to two Limerick crèches as part of the Building Blocks Capital Grant.
Banogue Community Creche were awarded €750,000, which will go towards funding a new building, creating more spaces for children in the community.
Riverside Early Childhood Centre on King’s Island will also get a boost of €500,000 to extend its current premises and offer more space.
The announcement by Minister for Children, Disability, and Equality, Norma Foley, confirmed the government will deliver €25million in funding to 1,500 additional early learning and childcare places nationwide.
In total, 49 community and privately operated services have been shortlisted for funding under the scheme.
