ONLY in the coming months will an official house rental site for Ryder Cup 2027 become operational.
That’s the clear message from Chief Ryder Cup Officer (Europe) Richard Atkinson.
Some platforms are already offering homes for rent at asking prices as much as €85,000 for the week of one of the biggest global sporting occasions arriving in Adare.
The precise dates for the biennial men’s golf tournament between European the United States are September 17 to 19, with several build-up days.
In Issue 01 of Ryder Cup News, a newsletter created especially for the community of Adare, Mr. Atkinson confirmed that “an official house rental website will be launched in the coming months, where homeowners wishing to rent will be able to advertise their property through an official website.”
He added: “We will share details in due course.”
Mr. Atkinson concluded: “Please note, that any independent websites claiming to represent the Ryder Cup and offering to advertise properties for the event are NOT endorsed and may contain incorrect or misleading information.”
Among other key points from Ryder Cup Europe are that there will be an allocation of tickets available for residents of Adare; a process for volunteers will open towards the end of this year and that a ‘Year to Go’ event will open in September 2026.
A Community Engagement Working Group has been established, which incorporates Adare Community Trusty (ACT), Adare Manor, Limerick City and County Council, An Garda Síochána and Government.
ACT Chairperson Mary Fitzgerald said: “ACT, as an umbrella group for the organisations and clubs in Adare, is happy to be invited to join this group.”
She added: “Adare is an iconic village and we look forward to extending a warm welcome and a hand of friendship to all the visitors who will come to Adare for the Ryder Cup and to the events leading up to its staging in our village. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our village of Adare to the World.”
