SOCIAL Democrats councillor Elisa O’Donovan quizzed the Council on whether it has applied for funding for a bus shelter and seating at a bus stop on the Mulcair Road in Dooradoyle.
She was informed at the May monthly Metropolitan District meeting that the bus stop, which serves the current 304 bus route, is not included in the revised BusConnects redesign.
“Going forward, priority for bus shelters is given to the proposed routes as part of the BusConnects redesign and will primarily have regard for the frequency of the route, nearest existing shelter, proximity to populous feeders (schools, hospitals, urban centres),” the Council explained.
