Happy Times Preschool on St Patrick’s Road raised โฌ1,150 for Barnardos Big Toddle with staff and students alike embarking on a half-mile sponsored walk.
Organised by Maeve Daly and Patricia Kiely, this is the fourth year the pre-school has supported the campaign.
โWe were so happy to take part and the children loved the adventure of it all. Being superheroes was so exciting for them”, Patricia said.
“We went to our local shrine to St.Patrick with the morning class and to the church grounds with the afternoon class, as they were a little bit younger. The parents were so supportive, weโd like to say a very big thank you to them. Weโre already looking forward to taking part again next year”, she added.
This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the Barnardos Big Toddle which has raised โฌ4.8 since it began.
Barnardos have been helping vulnerable children in Ireland since the 1960s to help children reach their full potential – regardless of their family circumstances, their gender, race or disability.
