ONE of the most anticipated events of the summer is fast heading for a sell-out, as legendary electronic pioneers Faithless make their long-awaited Limerick debut this Friday June 6 with an exclusive, up-close-and-personal performance at Troy Studios.
Enigmatic producer Kormac will join them for their debut Limerick appearance this weekend.
The Limerick date forms part of a two-night ‘Ireland Underground’ tour, which also includes a show in Derry on Saturday. Speaking ahead of the shows, Sister Bliss of Faithless said, “We cannot wait to come and play for you in Ireland – these are intimate, warehouse-style gigs and we’ll see you right at the front!”
Thirty years on from their iconic track ‘Insomnia’ topping the Irish charts, and fresh from a triumphant return to live performance last year, Faithless are hitting the road again – with appearances lined up at major festivals including Isle of Wight and Pinkpop in the Netherlands.
Though touring without their legendary frontman Maxi Jazz, who sadly passed away in 2022, founding members Sister Bliss and Rollo have reimagined the live experience with acclaimed show designer Jvan Morand.
The result is a powerful blend of classic Faithless anthems and immersive visuals – both a celebration of their timeless sound and a moving tribute to Maxi Jazz.
While this marks Faithless’ first-ever live show in Limerick, the connection to the city runs deep. Rollo spent his childhood summers visiting family in Limerick, and Sister Bliss is fondly remembered for her unforgettable DJ set at the now-defunct Docs nightclub in the early 2000s.
This one-off event also offers a rare opportunity to experience the vast interior of Troy Studios, the 350,000 square foot production facility in Castletroy, which will host a live audience for the very first time.
With a full bar licence in place and only a limited number of tickets remaining, this promises to be an unmissable night in a truly unique setting.
