EMAILS were down and the sun was up for this year’s Limerick Chamber Golf Classic at Limerick Golf Club, of which Limerick Post are proud media partners.

It was a day of celebration for members and the wider community,ย from those who took time out to enjoy a round of golf with colleagues and peers, to the companies who generously supported the event.

Flynn, a global force in construction and development were the main sponsor for the event, who have been instrumental in a number of builds throughout the region.

This partnership spoke volumes of Flynn’s belief in the Mid-West, as well as their commitment to meaningful partnership, and their desire to invest where roots matter both locally and regionally.

Conor McMahon, Associate Director at Flynn said: โ€œBeing at the centre of this yearโ€™s Golf Classic allowed us to do more than just sponsor, ย it let us support a community we deeply value. Being present matters, ย whether ย we are on-site or on the fairway, Showing up matters.

“When businesses take the time to support these local events, they are investing in the regionโ€™s future. Itโ€™s about backing the people, the communities, and the networks that drive growth from the ground up. This kind of participation builds more than connections, it strengthens the fabric of the Mid-West, and at Flynn this is what we are all about.โ€

The Limerick Chamber Golf Classic is an event described as bringing people from every sector together to share a common passion: this region and its future.

Michelle Gallagher, CEO of Limerick Chamber, said: โ€œWhat really stood out wasnโ€™t the sunshine or the scores, but how everyone rolled up their sleeves, leaned in, and made it happen together. From our board and Chamber team to the clubhouse staff, tee sponsors, main sponsor Flynn, and every team that turned up to play there was a real sense of shared purpose. Thatโ€™s what the Chamber has always been about, connecting people, businesses, and ideas that help the region thrive. Events like this reflect our history of collaboration and community within the chamber and they remind us exactly whatโ€™s possible for the Mid-Westโ€™s future.โ€

There were generous prizes added to the excitement on the day, with everything from golf gear and footwear from the pro shop, fine dining experiences at Cornstore and Coqbull, and luxury overnight stays in some of Ireland’s top hotels.

One lucky team also nabbed a fourball at the prestigious K Club, including a full dining experience.
