LIMERICK City and County Council has identified an alternative way of delivering the Kilmurray Columbarium Garden.
In response to a question from Labour councillor Elena Secas at the May Metropolitan District meeting, she was informed that a number of monumental sculptors could deliver the hardscaping and civil elements of the projects, while the Parks department could assist with the landscaping elements of the project.
“The Council proceeded to tender for the hardscaping and Columbarium walls. It is expected that the contractor will be appointed in the next two weeks and construction works are expected to commence in June/July this year,” said Senior Engineer Aidan Finn.
The lead in time for the delivery of the Columbarium walls is not yet known.
